When the cameras stopped rolling, the LMS team stepped in to ensure the lifting equipment behind the scenes was operating safely and remained fully compliant.

At the client’s request, our LEEA-trained engineers attended a major film studio in Glasgow to carry out thorough examinations of a wide range of lifting equipment, including hoists, lighting pantographs, and associated rigging equipment. With more than 2,000 individual items requiring inspection and certification, the project demanded careful planning, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Adding to the challenge was the limited access window available between filming schedules. Working closely with the client, our engineers completed the examinations safely and professionally while minimising disruption to studio operations.

Despite the scale of the project, the work was completed within the required timeframe, ensuring the equipment remained compliant and ready to support ongoing productions. The successful delivery of the project reflects LMS’s ability to undertake large-volume inspection programmes in fast-paced and demanding environments.
