When a customer found themselves unable to safely access an adjacent well due to an ageing and overly complex davit system, they turned to our team for a practical and reliable solution.

Following an initial site survey carried out by Daniel McIsaac, it quickly became apparent that the existing davit had reached the end of its useful service life. The structure was not only cumbersome to operate but had also become unsuitable for continued use, creating both operational and safety concerns for the customer. After discussing the available options and understanding the site’s requirements, a replacement solution was agreed that would deliver improved safety, ease of use, and long-term reliability.

Our engineers attended site to carefully remove and dispose of the existing davit system, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer’s operations. Once the area had been prepared, we supplied and installed a brand-new REID Lifting T-DAVIT TDT, a lightweight yet robust aluminium lifting system designed specifically for safe access and lifting applications.

To complement the new davit, we also supplied a William Hackett anti-corrosion chain block, providing exceptional durability and performance in demanding environments where protection against corrosion is essential.

The result is a simple, effective, and user-friendly solution that has transformed access to the well. The new system offers significantly improved handling, enhanced safety for operators, and the peace of mind that comes from using modern, high-quality lifting equipment.
